Caroline & Joel’s love story dates back to 2018. At the time, Caroline was traveling the country working as a travel nurse and accepted a new contract in Phoenix. Early on in her contract, she stumbled upon a co-ed, recreational sports group called Phx Fray and joined the skeeball league thinking it’d be a great way to make friends. Joel, an ever-athletic Phoenix native, was participating in multiple leagues within Phx Fray. He spotted Caroline during a skeeball match and knew then and there that he needed to meet her. Caroline thought Joel was cute (and tall!), and was impressed that he seemed to know and get along with everyone in the league. Over the next seven weeks, they built a foundation of friendship and, as this friendship grew, so too did their attraction towards one another. At the end of the skeeball season, Caroline’s travel nursing contract expired & she was off to Charleston, South Carolina for her next assignment. Not ready for their connection to end, Caroline & Joel decided to continue talking to one other. Joel even flew out to visit her! After the summer, Caroline returned to Phoenix and an amazing and loving relationship blossomed. As they say, the rest is history!
